KØDXC Station
This page is not entirely up to date. I've been extremely busy so I'll re-write it as soon as I can.
My shack is located in a corner of my bedroom. I'm not set up for SO2R right now, but it's my goal to go SO2R by November.

(This shack picture is not current. I'll post a new one soon.)
In this picture you can kind of see two of my antennas. The pole is a 6BTV vertical. It has about 35 radials. The wire hanging from the tree is an Alpha-Delta DX-B sloper. It hangs at 35 feet and is sloping towards the Caribbean /4 land.
My bedroom window is the one at the top of the house. You can see a black line going up the side of the house which is my coax. I run the coax up near my window where there is a hole in the house that I put it through to my shack. Near the bottom window mounted on the side of the house is a mast. Currently I am not using it for anything but it may support VHF antennas in the future
This is a picture of my "path to EU". If you look a little to the right of the cell tower, that would be NE from my QTH. This picture was taken from the other side of the property.
In this picture if you look carefully on the ground you can see my SBOG (short beverage on ground) receive antenna. It is only about 150 feet long. Because it is short it normally doesn't work very well on 160 meters but it is helpful on 40 and 80 at times of high QSB.
HF Antennas:
80/40/20/15/10 Dipole fed with 300 ohm ladder line @ approximately 30 feet (No Pictures Up)
Hustler 6BTV vertical with 35 radials
Alpha Delta DX-B Sloper @ 35 feet
SBOG (short beverage on ground) receive antenna
VHF Antennas:
KB6KQ 6 meter loop
2 meter ground plane
I don't have any VHF / UHF antennas actually up in the air right now. Both of them are sitting in a storage area under the front porch. My grandpa and I did not have time to put them up last fall and I haven’t had any time to do it since then either.
I maintain my antennas by myself. Every once and a while when my grandpa is visiting (he lives about 600 miles away) we will do maintenance on everything. It's not hard for me to keep everything up in the air.
I have been experimenting with my DX-B Sloper to try and get a lower radiation angle.
In November of 2008 I re-installed my receive antenna. Originally it was pointing NE towards EU but then it started acting like a radiator for my DX-B and a radial for my 6BTV because it was to close to both antennas. After I discovered this, I moved the antenna so it ran away from my transmit antennas and now it receives east/west.
Most hams have CC&R restrictions, but I have parental restrictions! My parents don't like antennas so I can't really do anything and I won't ever be able to put any more up. This means I can't construct a superstation until I'm living in a house of my own.
