KØDXC Audio

Recently I became interested in recording on air audio. If you would like to take a listen to how the bands sound at the KØDXC station or listen to my operating strategy in contests; feel free to listen to the clips below. I appreciate any feedback. Please leave a comment or send me an email at k0dxc (at) k0dxc.com Audio Archive See breakdown at http://lists.contesting.com/pipermail/3830/2009-June/176475.html See breakdown at http://lists.contesting.com/pipermail/3830/2009-May/174796.html I did not do very good in NSL Wk 5. In fact, I did really bad. I had last minute problems with my audio recording program so I fumbled around setting it up for the first 3 minutes of NS. Of course, that meant missing good mults on 20 and getting to 40 late! I was doomed from then on... I wasted to much time on 20 when I should have been working new mults on 40. The only bright side was making 21 QSOs in 10 minutes on 80. I can normally keep an OK rate on 20 and 40.... but it really starts flying once I get to 80! Thanks for the QSO(s). BREAKDOWN Wow! What a thrill! 20 meters was open!!! Great time, lots of fun. Nice to work all those familiar callsigns again. I truly AM beginning to see why the NS is referred to as the best half hour of ham radio! Click HERE for breakdown. I made the most QSOs in NSL week 3. While my multiplier total was down from my previous few weeks I broke the 40 QSO barrier - making 45 QSOs. At first I thought I was going to finish with around 35 Qs, but then during the last 15 minutes of the contest I made 28 Q's on 80 meters. The first 15 minutes of the audio is basically me on 40 meters. You will hear me start on 20, but I just make a quick tune and decide that switching to 40 would be the best thing to do. Click HERE for breakdown. Thanks to all the FB ops who worked me. I couldn't have done it without you. That is a recording of the NCCC's NS Sprint. The sprint takes place every Thursday night and only lasts a half an hour.  Depending on your internet connection the clip may need some time to buffer. I was able to work the VK9GMW DXpedition to Mellish Reef on 30 meters. Unfortunately, I did not have the recorder on when I made the QSO, but after I worked him I made an MP3. The clip is about 10 minutes long. His signal peaks at about S3 on my DX-B sloper. He was about S1 on my 6BTV vertical.
